In some cases, and depending on the type, amount, and/or origin of check you brought for deposit, the credit union can place a hold, or extended hold, on the funds received for deposit to protect you and the credit union, by ensuring the funds will be collected before you expend them. There are cases in which receiving confirmation of the funds may take several days depending if the check is local or not. The first $200 of your deposit may be available, on the first business day after the date of your deposit.
